Just for fun.

As of now we must simply refer to the events of the last four years as "the long arse Morrison epic" or something along those lines. We have no other name for it. I'm talking about everything from Batman & Son right up to The Return of Bruce Wayne, Batman & Robin 16 and into Batman Inc and onwards.

What name would you give the entire story so far? Let's say DC were to release it all in omnibus collections, don't you think they could at least try to give it a more exciting title. I dunno but the Grant Morrison Batman Saga vol.1 doesn't exactly leap off of shelves.

Right now I'm thinking, Batman Forever

Hey he already took Batman & Robin back right?

Maybe im inspired to make this thread because the delays are getting to me, but what is the verdict of this so far? Sure i know its not finished, but i just get the general impression its not been as successful as it could have been.

Personally i loved issue 2 and 3, 1 was good but 4 left a lot to be desired in terms of art. I understand it was a fill-in job but it just wasn't worthy of this series. But i hope issue 5 will take the sour taste out my mouth as i really like Sook's work and with issue 6 the complete story will be considered "epic".

So of all the new Batman titles, what are essential to follow Batman?

Here's probably the most pressing thing from the interview. When asked about the guest character in the upcoming Red Robin:

Quote:

Nicieza: Seriously, it's not too big a secret or surprise if you've read the book — the character's name was listed on one of Tim's computer screens, but because of who this character is and what's gone right and wrong for this character the last few years, we want it to be a quiet reintroduction into the family of titles through a no-pressure opening scene. I think it's a really good scene the character appears in, and Marcus To absolutely knocked the scene — and the entire issue — out of the park. I mean, a moon shot who gave this kid steroids knocking it out of the park!

I have plans to bring this oh-so-mysterious character back to the book again a few months from now, but for now, let's just let it play itself out in print rather than on message boards (for a change of pace).

If the remarks about having plans for the mysterious character do come to fruition (and of course, if it's who we think it is) I'll be as giddy as a school girl.

But still, it's worth a look:

There's more info on the film here, if you're interested (all SFW, of course). I must say, i like what they've done with Robin . . .
