Not as good looking as the others, but I'd imagine Tony Daniel was pretty rushed at this point, he talked about working on the final images this week at his blog.

While fame had certainly been good to her, actress Michelle Pfeiffer rarely went out of her way to revel in her celebrity.

7. We have a few more questions asking about the Batgirl series ? is it something that?s still out there, or is it something that will be retro-solicited after, perhaps, the conclusion of the Oracle miniseries?
DD: No ? it?s not going to be retro-solicited. It will be hitting shops in August. As will Adventure Comics.

Well I thought we were originally going to see Batgirl with the rest of the relaunch in June, but obviously that didn't happen so this is the first I've seen of the book getting a new time frame for release. Seems like DC isn't sure what's going on with the character but I wonder if will get some hints in Battle for the Cowl, based on this quote:

14. This one isn?t a question about how it ends, but rather, when Battle for the Cowl wraps up, will readers know who?s behind all the masks? I think this is specifically directed towards Red Robin, with some implications about Batgirl as well...
DD: There?s only one mystery character behind a mask at the conclusion of Battle for the Cowl. Just one that readers will be unaware of his identity.

Dustin Nguyen has posted an interior page from the first issue of Streets of Gotham, which you can see
here.
It looks absolutely awesome, but I couldn't help but notice the Batman costume doesn't look any different or updated... those are the same old gloves and belt, right?
Some people on the boards have mentioned inconsistencies so far between the "new" bat costume, as future covers and pages have depicted it differently between various artists and was curious what people thought about this one. Perhaps it's before the new Batman has time to make a new costume (although Damian appears to be in his new duds, which feature a hood).
I'm looking forward to seeing a new interpretation, I hope they don't just have it in one book or let different artists make it up as they go along.

I just finished reading the two part "Mask" story by Bryan Talbot from LOTDK 39 & 40. I have to say I really enjoyed this story. At first I thought what was taking place wasn't really happening and it was all going to be a dream in the end. However that wasn't the case at all.
Turns out a psychiatrist, Steven Gallagher, had drugged and kidknapped Batman. He discovered he was Bruce Wayne and used the information of his parents death and the use of sedation and hallucinogens to try and brake him. (sound familier to anyone?)
The reason Gallagher wanted to brake Batman was because Batman had visited the his father, who worked for the mob, when he was younger to "show him the error of his ways". After that his father's life fell apart. He began drinking and in the end it resulted in Gallagher's mother and father both being killed. He blamed Batman for this.
Has anybody else read this story? What were your initial thoughts? And like me, do you see the strong resemblence to Morrison's R.I.P.? You know only less confusing. ;)
I think this is the only story I have read by Talbot who also did the beautiful artwork in this story. I really enjoyed it, what else has he done?

So I've been mildly interested in this series, and after reading several previews, I've decided to take the plunge and buy the HC. Does anyone know what issues it collects, and if there are any that it doesn't collect?
Also, is there any news about when the series will restart?
